I get a whistling noise during initial acceleration... maybe till about 2000~4000rpms...

I bought the car used with about 35K... its a 2001... it has one of those K&N intakes that goes down to the front bumper (not sure what its called)...

could it be that the air is leaking when being sucked into the intake? is it the K&N making that sound???

it's normal. it's likely your intake.

 

Yea, normal. My car did it when I had the AEM V1. Install a supercharger and you won't hear it anymore.
