Default Why is it hard to redline?

So I noticed sometimes it seems my car barely reaches 9K! The rpms seem to really slowly reach 9k when I hit around7-8K. Why is this?

I'll rule out the temperature since i am pretty sure that you know how to let the car warm up before redlining it. So, it could be your A/F...map sensor.....bad spark-plugs, but most of all it could be depend on the weather.... could be heat-soaked.

Could be a lot of things, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to this:

Try unplugging the MAP sensor and plugging it back in securely.

Too much slack in the throttle cable maybe? Bad gas? Trying to hit 9k in 5th gear? Could be a few reasons...

Had oil change and levels good. Filter for the CAI was just replaced, didnt check diff fluid, stock rims. Its hard to redline when in 1st-3rd gear!

What about the MAP sensor? Are you going to do that or ignore my suggestion?
