well for all of you the bolt was torqued to 30 lbs.
Doubt it. It wouldn't have fallen out if it were. Maybe you stripped it but even then it shouldn't have fallen out.

Anyway, the blue smoke is probably because you fried your rings. Resore may work for a short time but it will not solve the problem. If indeed the rings are fried, you more than likely have damaged the main bearings. That may show up shortly.

You really should have it checked out.

Dude, you should have turned the car off. Seriously.

What does this Restore stuff do?

Restore doesn't have much of a long term effect except for clogging the oil filter and messing up lubrication passages. I think it's only used as a cheapskate's last resort in POS engines with high mileage.

If it did temporarily put a kibosh on the smoking, then it sounds like your rings are probably screwed up.

On the bright side, I have a bridge for sale if you're interested

1.5 miles!!! I agree with the others about doing a compression test, but I think it is pretty evident of what occured. Blue smoke indicates oil is present in your combution chamber during detonation, this could be from blow-by, a bad head gasket or a cracked block. Remember, oil is used to clean, cool, and lubricate. If you removed all that from a running engine it is like throwing a plastic bag over you head, slitting your wrists and sprinting a mile. Looks like rebuild time, you should do a stroker kit.

honda left the oil cap off of my car after doing an oil change once... i didn't notice until i popped my hood once i got home to see the cap sitting on my battery and oil everywhere. I WAS PISSED!! luckily i didn't drive the car hard at all on my way home from the dealership (around 7 or 8 miles).
I too have blue smoke that occasionally comes out of my tailpipes. it occurs randomly at stop lights when i start going, and based on the smell of the exhaust (i have a test pipe and invidia v3) i can usually tell when it is going to smoke. I would say this occurs once every 4 to 5 stop lights at normal engine temperature. I also have a catch can installed. would honda's leaving my oil cap off have something to do with this?

Not that it helps much, but a Chevy technician once told me that you would be lucky to drive a block or so with no oil and/or coolant before something went wrong in the engine. I bet once that oil drain plug fell off, the oil was probably gone almost instantly. I fear the worst for your situation...
