A winding coming from the rear when clutch is down
Hi everyone, i would really appreciate if you shed some light on my problem...
I bought my first 02 S2k (spa yellew) last October with 59kmiles on it. i had no previous "stick experience" so i learned on my S2k but i was very careful cause the least that i wanted to do was, hurt my tranny, i love my S2k so i treated like baby, i only drive it once a week.
2 weeks ago i noticed a weird spring winding noise coming to a stop at a stop light, the noise is only present when.
* when clutch is pressed down coming to a stop
* noise is not present when car is at rest, clutch is all the way down and no noise
* noise is not present when iam at a dead stop even on gears
* noise is not present when shifting gears
* gears enter smoothly like when i first bought my s2k
* noise has become a little more noticeable since first noticed 3 weeks ago
my uncle who is a diesel machanic says its the "throttle bearing". and recomends replacing it along with a lighter clucth since we are doing the labor
but than again i want to be sure cause from what i have seen on your page, i fear it may be the differentialand would like your opinion
altough my uncle swears its the "throttle bearing" Thankyou
