Hey everyone, I was just wondering what you guys thought would cause my windshield wipers to not work on the first setting, but they work on the second (which is continually moving).

On the setting where you push up the lever, it works only when pushed up, but if I take my hand off it it will stop mid wipe (lol). All other settings work

I haven't' tried to diagnose the problem yet, but what do you guys think before I go and look? Thanks.

 

When you say it stops mid wipe, you mean it just sits in the middle of your windshield? How do you get it to park?
It sounds like your "delay" function has quit and this may have something to do with the wiper motor or the controller.

 

well, on the first setting it doesn't do anything, it doesn't move at all. If I push up, like give it a tap it'll move but will stay where I let go on the handle. To get it back I have to keep hitting the lever til it goes back down.

 

This should be covered by warranty.
