wondering about Diff fluid

Default wondering about Diff fluid

ok im 73k miles on my STOCk AP1 diff and since ive been running it with my AP2 motor i was thinking i need to stop procrastinating my Diff service.. was wondering is the honda fluid only fluid to be used or can i pick up some other fluids somewhere at a local store like autozone..

most people at that mileage recomend switching to a 75-140 full synthetic. i use valvoline synpower because that is what my company sells. some people recomend mobil1. either will work but deff go to 75-140.

ugh you said curse word. NAPA has the 75-140 valvoline synpower.
sorry just has to rep for NAPA as i am employed by them. anyways make sure you invest in fluid pump. they are like 10 bucks but will make job so much easier.

What is the diff capacity.? Info is not in the OM nor in the Journals above. Not a big deal since it's just drain and refill but curious none the less.

73K? Wow!

IIRC there isn't a Honda fluid for the diff in the S.
