Hey guys I just got my s2k its got 38k miles a 2003 I have to jab it in while driving to get it into fifth and then yoink it out fairly rough to get it out, all the other gears seem pretty smooth. What should I do? Does it need tranny fluid change or what? Mechanical problem?

It depends on how your shifting you don't have to "jam" it into the spot our tranny's are well put together. I've missed 5th one time In all of ownership.

 

5&6 are a little tough until the car warms up, usually about 20 minutes for me, then they loosen up. Also possible the previous owner was skipping gears. Long story short, don't do it. 1-6, hit every gate. With a used purchase I would change oil, trans fluid, and diff, unless you know for sure their condition.
