Default Word of Advice

I am starting this topic to stress the usually overlooked importance of torquing wheel lug nuts to factory specifications. It seems harmless to just torque those babies down full force, but on the s2000 that can be a big mistake. When you have to use a lot of force to break them lose you run the risk of breaking one of your wheel studs. On most cars this is a ~$5 fix, assuming you can do it yourself. On the s2000 if you break ONE you must press out the wheel bearing also which, in most cases, forces it to be replaced completely. So then a simple fix turns into a $300+ job assuming you don't have access to you're own bearing press.

I learned this all the hard way and ended up replacing all 5 studs to be sure it wouldn't happen again soon.

If you didn't know, now you know...
