Default Would it be worth it to port or extrune hone the oem header??

I can get an extra oem header for $50 bucks, so I was wondering if I would see any gains if I was to hone the inside or take a dremel and smooth out whatever I can on the header, or even get it properly ported.

Would I see any gains? If I could get a few hp I would do it cause the header is so cheap

thanks!

No. There isn't much HP to be gained with any exhaust. The significant gains are made with weight savings; some of the aftermarket exhausts are significantly lighter than stock. Trying to optimize the stock exhaust is futile. Honda did a pretty good job with it.

The OEM header has slip joints instead of butt welded tubing. I would think the extrude hone would not work as intended.
