Default Yellow Jacket Speedo Recalibrater

Needs some help with this dilemma.
Six months ago I swapped differentials from stock to a 4.57. Of course my speedo was now off and I purchased the Yellow Jacket unit from Modifry. The unit worked like a charm for a couple months then I began noticing my speedo would read 0 mph while driving. I pulled the unit and sent it to Bob with Modifry. He confirmed that the unit was fine at least is his car and sent me back a new one. This however did not fix my cars problem. I still get on an average of once a day a faulty speedo reading i.e. 0 MPH while driving. One way I've learned to "fix" the problem on the fly is to push the clutch in and switch the key off and back on and release the pedal i.e. restart the car on the fly and this works every time. The unit wakes up and the speedo is reading correctly...for a while.

Now if I return the car wiring to its unmodified state i.e. remove the Yellow Jacket and rewire the car back to stock I never get a faulty reading. Of course the speed on the speedo is inaccurate but it never fails. When I rewire the Yellow Jacket with its harness the faulty reading come back.

I have checked and double checked the wiring with my ohm meter per Bob request and the wiring is good and secure. The ground is good and the 5v wire I use to powner the YJ is indeed 5v. When the speedo reads 0 the LED on the Yellow Jacket unit is off it loses it power supply.

I've run out of ideas and thought I might tap the recourses of the board.

Any suggestions
Thanks

Chuck

Mine does the same thing, thought it was a loose wire so I soldered it, but still happens once in a while.

This has been reported several times and soldering it usually solves the problem. Mine dropped the signal until I soldered it.

Thanks for the input I'll try soldering the unit. However if it continues I will just go back to stock its way to annoying.
