Default yikes! after bleeding the clutch (gravity) ...

This is so weired.. I bled my clutch 2 days ago and last night when I tried to drive it the first time, I noticed that I only start feeling pressure on the clutch pedal after 3-5 inches down.. I checked the fluid and its still full..

I dont remember if I used DOT4 on the last clutch bleed i did (didnt use gravity method), but I do know i used dot3 this time.. If i did use dot4, could this be a reason?

Also, one thing I noticed is after cracking the valve open, the fluid flowed out a lil faster than i expected... it was free flowing.. i was expecting it to be a bit slower...
Is this normal?

Prior to changing the fluid, you could hear a squeeking noise when depressing the clutch, and in certain spots, a squishyfeel almost? might have to replace the master and slave cylinder? hope not..

Thanks for your input

well, I adjusted the rod going into the cylinder (clutch pedal area) and things are back to normal again.. its weired though how it was fine before but had to be adjusted after I flush the fluids..

with my pedal i dont feel the clutch begin to disengage until ive pushed the pedal down what feels like a couple inches, its really light way up at the top. I just thought this was normal, is it not? lol

Are you sure you didn't get air in your clutch line? If you pumped the clutch pedal with the valve open, you could have sucked some air into the line from the slave.

no pumping was done, I did the gravity method... but an update though.. After a couple of hours driving, now I think I need to pull back the shaft from the cylinder a lil bit.. my engagement point is way toooo high now.. lol.. it seems as if it went back to normal (or close to it) after a couple of hours driving..

I had this problem after a bleed too, I did a pump bleed though. My first couple of engagements were weird and way early, after a day of driving the engagement was where it used to be, just with new fluid this time
