Curling can be slow, but I am amazed at the skill in hitting those rocks.
Me too. I was amazed at how they can slide that stone so far down the course and have it stop almost dead center in the circle. However, I still don't understand the scoring of the game.

It's like horseshoes. You get one point for every rock that is closer to the center than any of your opponent's rocks. If nobody has any rocks in the rings, nobody gets any points.

Is it ok to take a breath now? I knew Switzerland would be tough and they didn't disappoint. Only 7.5 hours of good hockey left today.

^^ I think so only because on any given day the top three atheletes can most often beat each other. Then, there is the Israeli saying " quality is always more important than quantity, as long as you have lots of it."

To a huge gasp of relief in the stands. The Russian's forgot to show up and had poor coaching to boot.

Although I'm huge hockey fan, and the men's tournament has had some great games, I'm am very much looking forward to today's USA v Canada women's gold medal game.

The women tournament has really opened my eyes to the level of talent and ability these ladies possess. Powerful skating, excellent passing and great stick-handling. A throwback to the european game of the 90's. Plus they can throw the body when necessary.

I suggest you watch game if your schedule allows, you will not be disappointed in the quality of the game.
