Default 4th of July topic

I just got this passed on in my email. Thought it was interesting--my email came with pictures, but they didn't seem to convert over to this forum...

I hope you take the time to read this

This is quite interesting. I have to admit that I always thought that it had to do with the thirteen original colonies.

Thanks for this post.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Forth of July and takes a minute to really appreciate just how meaningful the holiday is.

We are just completing a 2,500 mile road trip that included MD,PA, NY, VT, NH,ME,MA,CT and throughout New England (the birth place of our nation) it is interesting to see how many towns (even the smallest of hamlets) have flags flying from every power pole or street light poles.

I hope that we always remember the meaning of the seventh fold. It seems that these days, it is important to remember.

I was already aware that it's a fraud, but it does make me wonder who writes this kind of nonsense and for what purpose.

I thought so too. Almost always, these things are invented after the fact.

Oops.

That's what I get for forwarding an email.

Happy 4th, all the same!

...Boy, do I feel like a BOOB! This is what happens when your father sends you something--you believe it...

Here's why there is a 21 gun salute. It has nothing to do with the year 1776 except coincidence.
