The only abbreviations that bug me are the ones Vintage members use in their posts. I have no idea what some of them mean. I've finally remember FWIW and IMMHO (for what it's worth and in my humble opinion) but lately I've seen some new ones.

Thank You! Know what mine means? F'd with your post.
This may help: http://www.acronymfinder.com/
Although it appears that it doesn't list the meaning of FFS that you used. There must be another list somewhere.
Found it: Here's where you can find the "R" rated ones: http://www.urbandictionary.com/

Acronyms, abbreviations, "text speak" the whole bit. I think "text speak" in an email annoys me the most.
Does it bother u 2? Come on and hit a few more keys.
Since the world is going to end in 2012, perhaps using all these acronyms, abbreviations and text speak are to save valuable time, time which can then be wasted on Face Book and Twitter.

(I agree with you, Lainey!)
On the above site, I found this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/names.php

I have an "long time friend" (not to be confused with old friend) that used to be a technical support editor for technical manuals written to support the products that her employer built and sold. Back in the late 70's they published a new product manual that was written by an engineer on the project team that full of references to TLA's and FLA's. It was driving everyone crazy trying to figure out what he was referring too. So out of frustration, she called him. He shrugged it off and simply stated: "Three Letter Acronyms and Four Letter Acronyms."
BTW, I am with you Lainey. E-mail shorthand drives me crazy. Then again maybe that is not really a "drive", but more like a putt?.
