The hearing issue is an important one. I'm partially deaf from a numer of loud noise exposures as well as a congenital medical problem. Maybe it is my hearing loss that makes me question those who think the stock system sounds great. While I didn't get an aftermarket system for the sound, I thought the stock system sounded pretty much like any other new production sports car, more like a sport bike at VTEC, but no big deal.

Anyway, I now have three different silencer inserts that I am working on. One is installed and does cut the resonance by about 50%. This will be the loudest of the 3 and the most free-flowing. The other two aren't quite done yet so I am not ready to do performance testing yet. Stand by for the full report.

What about the Invidia system? I truly love the sound that comes from these twin polished pipes. I drive with the silencers in and let me tell you, for me anyway, they are plenty loud enough. I believe this exhaust system is the best bang for the buck!! Also I notice no obnoxious drone at highway speeds.

Since I already have the Spugen single, I'm not looking for another system. Plus, I like the lightweight single design and the fact that most of the weight reduction comes from the drivers side with this system. If they were the right size, I would love to get a hold of some Invidia silencers and see how they work. can they be bought seperately?
