Allegiant Air's record is frightening
This is the airline we most often use but not after reading this article that came out Sunday.

Thanks, for the post. Airline airplane maintenance continues to be a troublesome topic. Mostly hidden from the public, until disaster strikes.

I have a friend who just applied to Allegiant for a pilot's job. He would be moving to Florida if he got it. Haven't heard if he got the job or not. He was flying for Cathay Pacific, but the commute from Delaware to the West Coast was killing him, plus CP did not have jump seat privileges on US domestic airlines, so he had to pay his own way and hotel bills, to the tune of about $2,000 per month.
It would be interesting to see what specifically Allegiant's maintenance issues were. Sounds like they are trying to rectify the situation.
