Had to go and get EIGHT TUBES of blood for a zillion stupid blood tests today and then the technician handed me three little bags and three little tabbed packets along with collection sticks. Get this, I have to get two samples from different areas of the biological material Blechhh. I hate medical tests. Get ready, Bass.

Val.

When they attempt to hand me the "collection" package. I tell them, thanks, but no thanks. I'll be in in a while for _____test and you can get the samples while I'm under the influence of drugs.

Call me stupid, but I had to call the Dr. office to find out HOW I was supposed to get two samples from EACH you know what with only ONE STICK. They said use a different end each time and I said YEAH, BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE SURE THE END I'VE USED IS CLEAN WHILE I'M FINISHING WHAT I JUST STARTED. I'll be using swabs. They'll probably send me for some horribly disgusting test to pay me back for being a pita.

I think that's why my students think I'm 30, and not 40; I don't
act like I'm 40.

^ We don't either...so why don't you get a Vintage badge, too? Break the mold of our Left Coast members (well, most of them).

Did anyone mention that those things the "old" folks used to discuss about bodily functions that totally grossed us out took on a totally different importance at a certain point in life? Fiber and fish oil tablets suddenly became wonders of daily life!

And I don't think we act our age either -- but sometimes my body reminds me of it's mileage.

I was wondering why he didn't have a vintage badge too. And, MsP, no, we don't act our age. As a matter of fact the same dr who sent me for all these tests was totally shocked at my age when I went in for a checkup. I then discovered that she is 8 yrs younger than I am yet seemed so much more mature. (I guess my payback for appearing younger was all these cruddy tests)
