Default Baseball 2011

Here's the thread for all you baseball lovers who are still posting on the site. Gearing up for the season. Don't expect much from the Nats again this year, but the stadium experience is always fun.

Unfortunately, National fans don't have much to look forward to this year. Neither does my team the Yankees (terrible pitching except CC Sabathia)

Nice come-from-behind win against the Yankees in the bottom of the 9th - 6-5.

Normally I'd predict another end of season collapse for my metsies, but this year I don't think they're going to get high enough in the standings to collapse. I'm not even sure that Wilpon and Katz will even be able to keep the team afloat financially with the trouble they're in.

The nice thing about being a mets fan is that it's real easy to predict the end of the season results even before the season begins.

lets go mets.

Saw the granddaughter's fiance in the Cubs dugout last Sunday. Don't know where he's headed after they break camp but most likely it will be with the AA club in Kodak TN. That would be nice since they're in the Southern League with the Chattanooga Lookouts.

The Nats are playing pretty well this year so far. Around 500 ball. Shut out the Giants the other day! We are headed to the game later. Gorgeous weather for a change here in DC. Unfortunately, our star player, Ryan Zimmerman, made a bone-headed slide into second awhile back and injured himself. Now he has to have surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle. Out six more weeks.

Well the Phils are 18-8 and have perhaps one of the best starting rotations in modern baseball, if they can all stay healthy, they should win the east.

Nice win today over the Giants - 5-2. Won 2 of 3 so far. Play them again tomorrow.

I haven't really read up too much on him. Our offense needs help, so I hope he provides some!
