Werth got a standing ovation in Philly the other day when he came up to bat and tipped his cap. Nice. After that the boo birds came to life. Of course what else would you expect in Philly.

He was cheered....after he was out.

MsP, he was little spotty with the bat until contract year, but not bad.

The Nats are the hottest team in baseball! They have won 13 of the last 15 games. And done so with the controversy of their manager (Riggleman) quitting last week. Now they will have Davey Johnson as manager as of today. Amazing for a team that hasn't held much promise the past few years. I'm excited! We will be cheering them on this Sun.

Yep, they are still in the NL East, and even with two of their 5 starters from the beginning of the season, the Phillies are plain old tough.

How is Jason Werth doing. He was highly paid to bring some much needed offense to the Nat's but I have not heard much from him. I hope so as he was one of my favorite Phillies as well as my Granddaughter's favorite player. Davey Johnson was a good choice for manager.

Werth has not been living up to his billing offensively. Hoping Davey can do something about that. Some of our other big offensive stars have been underperforming, also. Just think how well the Nats would be doing if they were up to par!! It has been an amazing ride the past couple of weeks.

Being fundamentally cheap, I rarely go to games, maybe a half dozen in my life but.....

Wife won tickets so we're going Thursday night and yesterday a vendor invited me to go to the Blue-Jays Sox game last night.

Two games in one week? wow

After the Nats incredible win streak, they have fallen back to win some lose some. Awful game we went to last Sun. Lost 10-2. Still hovering around .500, so not too bad.

Nats have been doing OK, but certainly blew it last night. Were up 8-0 (!) and managed to lose 10-9. Bummer...

Braves are on a hot streak headed to Philly for a three game series - that should cool them off.
