Time to bump... I'm a blonde now, we won!!! Our team didn't fare as well in the International Tournament. but we gained valued experience for the teams that follow us.

My son made the firsst page of one newspaper, and the 2nd page of another.....Thank the powers that be that the mailman with the 95 mph fastball stoppped by 12.5 yrs ago.

I'm just grateful we had a mailman that looked like me

Congrats on the props for the Bantam. We'll make sure to update the Giants' press guide. (Remeber, we have a deal! Your agent OK'd it. He's so excited about his comission that he quit his high paying CO position here @ S2ki! )

Did you end up coaching the team as you'd planned?

Hey, Drew

Yes, I helped coach in a limited sort of way. I was the batting practice pitcher for the team because of my rubber arm, and the ability to throw some nasty breaking balls.

I have the bruises on my legs from line drives to prove it, although I did learn and threw from behind a screen after the first practice.

We practiced about 3-4hrs a day for 2 weeks solid (including the 4th and 5th of July) and the kids responded well. Unfortunatly, we ran into one of the best teams in the state to start off. We had them 3-2 going into the 5th inning, then my son ran out of gas, and they brought out their whooping sticks and spanked us 13-3.

My son made the front page of our local paper, and page 2 of a larger paper that covers Northeast Ohio (Elyria Chronicle). All in all, a good experience all around....but kinda glad it's over now, I'm baseballed out.

Hey, Rob....before you buy that new car, you and Drewchie have a contract to iron out....lets get busy, my friend!!!
