Hey, you didn't tell me you are going to be in DC! PM me details and maybe we can meet up.
Hey, Deb. Well it's been an on-again and off-again thing. We thought we had a White House tour lined up but our group was rejected. I blame myself. After that disappointment the trip was in question. But it is back on again.

It's going to be quite a crowd. My two sisters, my brother and his girlfriend, Sandy and AJ, and my nephew, his wife and their two young boys. My nephew's wife is organizing the expedition. I think Sherpa guides are involved.

We will probably be mostly around the mall, since the main objective seems to be providing the two youngsters with glimpses of our nation's greatest monuments.

We are old DC veterans but I've never been to the American Indian Museum or the National Archives and its been years since I've been in the castle. Same goes for the National Archives.

Any tips on hidden gems in DC? Do you remember Red-headed Sandy who was with me at the Florida Super Meet years ago?
If you can get away from the mall a bit, the Spy Museum on F St is pretty cool. The Archives are right up the street from there. That's a big group! Lunch at Jaleo would be great. That's at 7th and E St. Spanish tapas place - casual and very good with lots of variety.

Thanks, Deb. That's great! I will check out the Spy Museum (which sounds pretty cool just from the name) and Jaleo. My nephew's family is coming in from Kansas City so I imagine anything that isn't bar-b-q will be welcome.

I'm there to look at the swim suits.
So why don't they just show the swimsuits on manikins?

Just because you have credentials doesn't mean you're not just a dirty old vintage.

Sadly, I won't be able to join you at MISS. (Hmmm...is that acronum accidental? I doubt it.) On the 19th I will be on the beach in Lewes, Delaware. I'll be happy to provide a swimsuit report from the real world, if you like.
Mike, are you coming to Lewes on 6/19? If so, does Gene know. Lunch in Lewes?

Ray, I'm still up for lunch if you are. We are going to Philly on Tuesday and I think Wednesday is DC. But Sunday, Monday, Thursday, or Friday will work. Gene can't make it. I did extend the invite. He is tied up every day that week except Tuesday (He's joining us for the Simeone museum thing in Philly that day.)
[/quote]Mike, Friday is good for me. I could meet you for lunch at Irish Eyes in Lewes. This is the restaurant we went to when you were here last time. Sorry Gene can't join us. How about Noon. My cell is 302 740-3780. Looking forward to it. They serve Dogfish Head in draft. Our local super star.
