Black Salt Marsh Mosquitos
The first rains hit a couple weeks ago. They were late in coming this year.
Now we have the biggest hatch of mosquitoes I've ever seen. They're a variety called the Black Salt Marsh Mosquito and they are aggressive.
If you get upwind from them, they come for you by the thousands, no the millions even in the middle of the day.
They are everywhere here. I think I'd rather have cicadas.
The Purple Martins are eating well.

Yeah, the bats would love those. You need a bat cave nearby.
