Very scary...something must have cushioned them when they went down that ravine. Otherwise, a whole different outcome.

Not being familiar with land like that, it looked to me like a road through flat land with lots of vegetation. I wouldn't have had any clue that the sides of the road dropped off. I'm glad your friends are fine, flts. It looked like the poor car lost it's life juice when the anti-freeze flowed out on the street.

Thank God Everyone was allright
Very Scary, But the Twisties in da Hills are so much Fun.
Kim and I explore as many roads as we can in the Smokies the day after WTD and DBR. Once we know the road is safe we run it a lot harder.
Love My S2K, but when She Bites, She Bites Very Hard and is Very Unforgiving.

Hi Guys & Gals and all Geezers in between.........
I never seem to remember this elite section of the S2KI forum but thought that I would post up and say "Thanx" for all of the thoughts, comments and concerns. We did not stay out of the non-S2K-car venue for too long as we had a new '06 Laguna Blue delivered to my door two weeks to the day of the accident. Insurance treated us very well, got a killer price on the new S (30,804) and am up to about 800 miles on her now.
We are definitely planning on continuing on our dream drives through the montains at "comfortable" pace & speeds. While the event has definitely made me think about taking it down a notch, I am nonetheless still convinced that S is the car of choice for the style of driving that I do. Spirited, not stupid and still alive to talk about it.
I will try to remember to scan this section a little more often and likewise post when I am planning any trips up out of the flatlands of Florida. We also do some fun group drives from time to time down when the weather cools off a tad. I will try to get these meets out to you folks and see if it teases anybody to come on down....................
