Change is coming to the S. I dropped off the seats today to have new leathers installed. I can't wait to get them back!

Big Ten cancels fall sports!

(We were watching our governor's press conference and this breaking news cut into the press conference!)

There is a rumor the HVAC guy is coming to start next week.
I am so fricking happy. this has been along hot summer as the existing systems have been on their knees all summer.
our last two electric bills were $580 and $720.
and that is with only 2 of 4 systems running.
and the we've since given up on the second floor systems.

That would be almost 50% of our entire year's utility bill (electric and gas combined). A nice reminder why I never thought I needed to live in a really large home. No need to down size if you do not over size in the start.

Sorry, you probably didn't need to hear that.

Do you pay through the nose? Southern California Edison is a major ripoff and Poudre Valley rural electric is a bargain. If you can afford those bills, which you can, it's annoying but worth the comfort. Being hot in your own home is ridiculous if you don't have to be.

We had some AC trouble about a month ago when it was really hot and humid. HVAC guy came and replaced a small part which took no time and asked if we wanted him to wash out the unit's condenser coil. He charged me $400 for less than 40 minutes of work but now the AC works exceptionally well. He did admit before he left that it would cool down better because of the wash rather than anything else.

Wow, your winter and summer utility costs have been very high, you will feel like you've won the lottery after you get your upgrades done, lol. Your costs should come down nicely.

Yikes, Jerry! Our electric bill was around $170.00 which is, I think, an all time high. I guess since your house is about 5 times bigger than mine...............

Patty our utility costs are high. It sometimes depends on who the supplier is. Two or three towns over their rate for electricity is less expensive.
