Cutting tin!!

Although we appear to have a re-plan. One of the air handlers won't fit in the space the previous one was in.
So we are going to drop one system and up-size and multi-zone the second and third floor systems together.

New windows show up Friday.
Roof insulation goes in in 3 weeks.

making headway.
HVAC guys look to have one more day.
4 systems became 3 systems. One of the air handlers won't fit in the planned space, so we'll go with one air handler and split it into two zones.
It did save us a little. So not bad.
The first floor air handler evolution.

New heat pumps installed out side.

And patiently waiting for my contractor to come by and install these beauties.

But for now, the latest in living room decor.

The new thermostats are WiFi capable. This means I could play with the temperature from somewhere while I wasn't home.
My evil twin is thinking that he could play with it while wifey is home.

I have a wifi thermostat but I almost never used it remotely in the past 1.5 years, it is nice to see the outdoor temps and weather more than anything. Nice to have but probably not used as much as one may think if you have it programmed properly in auto mode.

My last house was 5000 square feet, it was built with one natural gas furnace and one a/c unit, and it barely kept up with our heating and cooling needs. You should have plenty of capacity now.

Tim the tool man was my hero.
Our original system couldn't keep the house warm on cold 0°F days.
Small money now will ensure we have enough capacity.
Updating later is very expensive.
This system is variable demand so we won;t have the traditional issues with over sizing.
