Changing the final drive?

I've thought about it and I'm still thinking. But I'm reluctant to drop the ratio on the stroked motor and tranny ratios of the 2004+ models. I'll probably end up holding out for a Roots-type SC instead.

I am curious what ratio's the people that have done this went with. I would also like to know what RPM you are now turning at 70 MPH in sixth gear? What has it done to your gas mileage?

Heresy. If I did that I'd never win Pebble Beach in 2027, and I've got my eye on the trophy.
I have 4.77s - add about 1000 rpm to your current rpm and that is what you would be revving with the 4.77.
I mostly track and autox with the S2000. With this gear, I find the car much more settled as I don't always have to have it at the top of the rpm range to stop it from bogging. at 4k rpm the car respond much better.

I just now got it. If you can't lay up on 18, reach the green in three, and make the putt you won't deserve to win anyway.

I don't know what you're talking about but I guess it's gearing. I love my S2000 too much to put it under the knife.

Patty,Would you believe it is the square root of the ratio of the of champagne bubbles per once of champagne when poured into a conventional champagne glass versus a champagne flute?
