^Here's Andy's (my husband) S and truck. I will let him know when he gets home that the S will have to do the work of his truck and that the truck must be crushed, because Legal Bill Says So. I'll let you know what he says, if it's printable.

And how! If I ever need an advocate for a serious legal problem, may I call upon you sir?

I briefly considered the tax implications of crushing my truck today but talked myself out of it. Rob?

Unfortunately there aren't many tax advantages to crushing your SUV or truck. You can claim a casualty loss but you can only deduct your loss in the excess of 10% of your AGI. Depending on your AGI and the value of your vehicle, its not likely to do any good.

There are no energy saving for crushing a truck benefits.

Perhaps a special law could be passed if the proper people speak to the president. Since it's Bush this is a job for Cordy.

Since there are no tax advantages for me and I need all the advantages I can get, may I please keep my suvs. Please. They get decent gas mileage. It only cost me $38 to fill up my tank in my mountaineer today.

I'm driving my SUV to Canada.

You'll never catch me.
