The Concert and Shows Thread

We won't be going to any concerts in the near future, but WQLN has been playing the Rolling Stones Concert from Brazil in 2016, it was a treat to watch and record. One million fans on Copacabana Beach.
I seen the Stones once in Toronto on the Steel Wheels Tour and they put on a great show. Mick covers about 12 km of on stage distance during each of his performances, he is like the Energizer bunny.

^^^ One group I would like to see that I have not. Well, also the Dead but that ship has sailed.
Stones were supposed to play at the last NOLA Jazz Fest before COVID but had to cancel due to illness. Mick was sick. Then COVID. There were rumors they would be appearing this year as Jazz Fest resumes but I just checked the artist list and they are not on it Just...
...and others.
Maybe next year.

A little different concert the +1 and I plan to attend (across the road from us). We have been watching the progress on the refurbishment of the carillon and the installation of the three new bells. It will be a big event!!

Banksy-Not exactly a concert or show, today Liz and I went into the city for an exhibition of Banksy graffiti art. Titled "Banksy: Genius or Vandal" the exhibit traced his art through the years. Nobody actually knows who Banksy is or if there is actually only one Banksy. Unfortunately, much of his work has been destroyed as much of it was on the sides of buildings. Some of it is political, some just about the irony of life. All in all it was really a very good show. Here are some examples.

I saw Rich in New Jersey last fall. Outstanding show!
If you like the Eagles, Buffalo Springfield, and Poco, you know Rich
