Martha, I agree. To say that some private vehicles should only have to meet a CAFE of 21 mpg because they are legally trucks (and a Suburu Outback is legally a truck) but others must average 27mpg because they're cars is BS. There should be one CAFE standard for all private vehicles.

 

 

WHERE can one haul things in an SUV that one can't get to in a minivan? That's the more appropriate question, at least for those of us in the West.

 

That's a pretty bizarre funeral custom even in parts of northeast Alabama. I hope it's only observed in winter.
