Coyote caught by an S
#12
A friend sent me this link, because about 2 months ago I hit a Raccoon at about 65 MPH, and as I slowed down to about 45mph it crawled out and then I ran over it. But a half hour later as I drove back down the road heading home it was there. It creamed my A/C Condensor and broken a radiator mount, both had to be replaced.

Something bit holes in one of my cats one night and when I was talking to the vet (cat's doing fine) I asked whether he thought it might have been a coyote (ok, I've lived here for 7 months and am a bit naive about coyote behavior). He was amused. He said all that would have been left of Powder would have been fluff.

Around here the vet says owls pick up the cats and drop them to kill them. We had a cat with puncture wounds and that was what my husband thought happened to it.
Patty - Y'know, it may have been an owl or other big bird. We were trying to decide why there were 3 puncture marks on one side and one very large one on the other - only thing - the owls claw reach would have had to have been 8" from tip of longest to other tip....'at'd be a Big Bird!

Poor little guy
I have both the Coastal Metals Splitter and Grill Insert. Although I have not hit something that big, I did whack a big bird, and I'm sure had I not had the Grill Insert I too would have suffered radiator damage.

You know I meant to ask who hit that pheasant on our Fall Colors drive. The poor thing wasn't dead yet when I got there. I was afraid it was Jonas, whose rep for hitting critters is almost as bad as mine...(little inside joke from the Route 26 meet).
