Deb,

I know you've said its a softer ride, does the steering still feel as precise?
You know, I can't really say about the steering yet, because I've not been on any roads where I'm doing alot of that, like taking curves, etc. Also not driving it hard yet, either. Just waiting to get the chance! Think I will have more to say at the Nor'Easter, after a long trip in it.

I've not driven an '06, but the '04 I drove was significantly different than my '00. I immediately noticed the slower steering (just slower, not necessarily worse) and the slightly softer ride. I also didn't like the way the clutch engaged, but at the track I definitely liked the way the car handled. Seemed to be a little less "edgy" and more controlled.

Is that Roswell Ga., NM, or what? If Georgia, check the Georgia Geezer Gala thread here in Vintage. I'm rapidly becoming a junkie for your electronics stuff and you'd be more than welcome even if you're not Vintage.

Deb - how many miles you got now? Are you taking the long way?

So I take it you're not taking the long way to anywhere?

Sorry about the blatant pandering in your thread but War is War!

Well, I haven't really been anywhere yet. But give it a couple more weeks.

Another thing I didn't mention that I like is the daytime running lights. I always drove the other one with the park lights on in the daytime, so it's a nice feature.

Ms. P, your observations really were a deciding factor in my making the decision to upgrade. I've driven it 150 miles today (had to take EVERYONE for a cruise) and totally agree. I'm really surprised at how smooth it rides as opposed to my '01 and also feel I'm sitting in a luxury car instead of a sports car. The clutch feels wonderful and is a big improvement over the old one. +1 drove it for about 50 miles or so today and was very surprised at the clutch feel as well. I like the new sound system, its far superior to the old one and so far I'm just thrilled with the car. There are just so many little things that I'm overwhelmed with it all.
