^ Boy, do I understand that. Being hot sucks and ruins the top down days.

^ Yes, it was fun. And any excuse to put more miles on. I'm up to 155. Val is already over 600!
Its got 700+ on it now and I'm so ashamed of myself. I took it out for a little spin yesterday and was sitting at a stop light when a funky little ricer pulled up beside me. I tried to be good, I really, really did and decided to ignore him completely (silly little kid that he was). As soon as the light turned green, I very gently pulled out . Then that bad young man decided to whip past me, showing off that his ricer was better than mine. In order to preserve the proper image that any self-respecting S2k driver must keep up, I found myself pressing the pedal and the next thing I knew three times!!!! I wonder if that little fella told any of his friends that a grandmother left him eating her dust? I'm so ashamed of myself. I told +1 of my terrible shame at dinner last night and he said this: I TOLD YOU NO STREET RACING. I only got up to 75 mph, I said -- that's not so bad. Well, okay, but DON'T DO IT AGAIN. I won't.

Sure you won't! Bad Val. You need to be on stage, girlfriend.

Val, hope you are not bored being in our drive group in CT. You seem to have a NEED FOR SPEED.

The things I miss the most in my S2k are:

Electrochromic rear view mirror
The electronic compass
Outside temperature guage (on the 06)
an easy way to unlock the passenger door from the driver seat

All of these things are in the Subaru and can't be that difficult to add..of course, I'm talking about my 04 not an 06 but the daytime driving lights are a neccessity that should have been done 2 years ago.

I'd really like to see a oil pressure guage and either a voltmeter or amp guage but I have a feeling those are gone forever.

The 06 allows you to check the status of your oil by clicking through several options, which is a feature that is nice, but I'd like an oil pressure gage. Other than that there are no other features that I'd like to have. +1's Grand Cherokee has everything except a kitchen. I think with a camp stove and a portapotty we could live in the jeep. My mountaineer is very comfy, but I don't have leather heated seats and prefer the fabric since I haul the dogs around in it. Dogs + leather = torn leather. All I think about when I'm in the S2k is beating it to the mountain roads. Sometimes I drive for a couple/hours before I realize I didn't even turn on the radio.

As CO, I'm wondering if it's my duty/obligation to move this to street encounters??

I really did feel stupid and silly after that. I don't know what came over me.
