I think this is a State of Georgia issue rather than a requirement of the Federal Government.

HB 972 - Georgia Pain Management Clinic Act;
I believe that the VA has a similar set of rules, but their rules are to make sure that the patient is actually taking the meds and not selling them.
Now why didn't I think of that? Maybe because I've never thought about selling drugs? Although I did have some leftovers after surgery......

What've you got? I think I still have Oxycontin, Oxycodone, and Dilaudid stashed away somewhere in the house from my surgery.

About three different kinds of pain meds, and even some left over valium in the event of another trip into an MRI tube.

Ain't selling though. Jail aside, you never know when you might need this stuff and they might make me jump through hoops and pee in a cup before I could have any more.

I keep mine in case Keith Richards drops by for a visit.

If I'm ever in need of the stuff again, I'm opting for a prosthesis. No pain, just an increased risk of termites.
