I think this is a State of Georgia issue rather than a requirement of the Federal Government.
HB 972 - Georgia Pain Management Clinic Act;
HB 972 - Georgia Pain Management Clinic Act;
I know a woman in Ohio, she's had 4 failed shoulder surgeries. Constant pain sent her to a pain clinic.
After one surgery she filled a pain med script from the surgeon and this was a real
when the clinic learned of the additional meds. She has to give a urine sample with each visit.Panterra is your wife being seen for chronic pain?
Wifely Unit has been on Celebrex for years because of degenerating discs in her back. She saw doctor to get a refill of her Celebrex prescription.
I do find the situation with your Ohio friend a bit strange. When Wifely Unit had her mechanical hip installed, the orthopeadic surgeon prescribed Percocet and the pain management doctor was well aware of that. No problem. Some time later her oral Surgeon prescribed Percocet for a procedure that he was doing. What surprised me was the oral surgeon's dosage was four times what the orthopaedic surgeon prescribed for the hip surgery. We could probably sell her left over Percocet and take a nice vacation.
Because of all the doctors we see, I try to keep a current prescriptions list in our computer and print a copy to take to each appointment. That reduces our chances of having any bad drug interactions.
