For me it's gas heat, gas water heater, gas range, maybe even a gas dryer . (We have the first three currently.) Pretty hard to beat gas for comfort, convenience, and cost. Solar might be an effective supplement if you can sell power back to the grid in Delaware. (This varies from state to state.) There are companies that will install solar panels at no cost in return for a cut of the savings on your electric bill.

I agree, we have all 4 by choice.
