I made the decision to not have cable TV five years ago so I really don't have much opportunity to watch Top Gear unless I seek it out online or it happens to be on TV when I'm visiting someone or someplace with cable. I don't really have a favorite episode. They had one where they were driving in the Italian Alps, I think. That was cool. I did like the comparison episode with three convertibles and one happened to be the S2000. I liked the Celebrity in a Reasonably Priced Car segments. Those were usually amusing, especially if the celebrities were ones we know here in the States. Sometimes I watch clips that people link to in their Facebook feeds, but otherwise I really haven't bothered with the show much in the last few years. Enjoyed watching the Stig take the VelociRaptor around their test course at speed. That looked like fun.

Clarkson punching a producer is more than just a mere altercation though. I don't know anyone who can punch out a co-worker and still keep his or her job. I have many times in my life *wanted* to punch people and I could even lamely attempt to put forth the argument that "they deserved it" were I to do such a thing, but it wouldn't be a truthful argument and it would never make my reaction right. And if it happened in a place of employment, I would expect to not only be fired on the spot, but to be getting a knock on the door from local law enforcement with a warrant for my arrest for assault. Not even multi-millionaire celebrities are allowed to punch people for not being brought a meal and have there be no repercussions for the action.

Clarkson punched out his producer for.....now wait for it....because Jeremy had to arrange his own dinner. I do enjoy the show, but at some point either he is stopped from his sophomoric behavior, or he will start to think he is a Kardashian.

The rest of us live with consequences, perhaps he should start as well.

Favorite episode....the S2000 test, of course.

The Viet Nam special was amazing. Watching the cast and crew get kicked out of Argentina with stones flying was a rare real moment of reality television.

Among the regular episodes, the launch of the Robin shuttle was simply amazing.

It all makes sense now.
For those of you that did watch Top Gear, you'll recall that Clarkson pledged to legally change his name to Jennifer if the Porsche 918 was faster than the McLaren P1.
OK granted this guy is not The Stig and this isn't their airfield but.....
Here it is the P1 versus the 918.

for the record I need to make more money, a lot more money.
I can't even afford the rent on the dreams of driving these two cars.
Wonder what Jennifer would think?

I love watching comparisons like this but I keep asking myself who's this driver?

Jim, I agree 100%. Both the wife and I use to watch and enjoy every show a few years back but we have not watched it in well over a year or more.
