Default Everything changes, nothing changes.

Did you ever notice how all of life is a circle. There is no beginning or end, just the journey along the way. As we travel, everything changes but nothing really changes. For example, here is one of my very favorite photos. It is of me, my TD and my dad. It was taken about 25 or 30 years ago.
Here is another of my very favorite photos. It is of me, my S and my son.

In one I am the son and in the other I am the father. Other than the color of my hair, and the name on the sportscar the photos aren't really that much different. All of life is a circle.

Do you agree?

I almost agree .. I view it more of a straight line, wish it was a circle....

When I go on a vacation at a resort I feel like it is a little life. You get there and you are the new ones, you have all of a week (or sometimes a little more) to enjoy ... and life is wonderful !!! You talk to a few people and they indicate that they are going home in one or two days ... you feel sorry for them, but happier for yourself -- you have so much time left to spend there !!!

Then you get to the middle of the week, and you think - well I still have 1/2 to go ... and you see new ones coming in all the time. They take your seats at the pool, they cut ahead of you (or try to) at the front desk. You think "who the heck are these young whipper snappers - they just got here and are trying to run the place ... heck ... they don't even know their way around here" .

And the week gets older and older , and soon you only have two nights, then one night left ... and then you know that tomorrow it is all over. Time to pack up and get the heck out of paradise.

As you leave you see others arriving, they are taking your chair, your room, your spot on the beach. They are drinking out of the glasses you drank out of during the week.

The plane takes off and your tired, you shut your eyes.

Fade to black.

BTW Rob - I liked your photos. That would be a nice thread -- posting some old photos.

Good idea. I'll start it. Lets see some of your old cars in the thread.

Excellent points...perhaps we should all read "Tuesdays with Morrie" , lots of life lessons in the tiny little book.

Great photos. I think you're right Ralper. Life is full of cycles (or circles). There's a certain continuity in the photos that just seems "right."
