Thanks for the reminder. For grins I made a list that totals 13 to manually reset. The one I almost forgot ... the water softener.

I was happy to see my home thermostat reset itself, bonus.

My wife and I were working together today driving around to different properties. I was getting cutoff a number of times , people pulling out into the roadway without seeing me driving towards them, a few cars driving through red lights while I was waiting at an intersection. I said to my wife that there was a lot of people driving crazy around me, she then noted that the time change is making people less alert. When our son drove to work this morning she warned him to be careful as people might not be driving so well today due to the time change. I think she was right.

I don’t know Joey that unfortunately seems to be the norm’ nowadays. Last week I was driving on the highway coming down a mountain actually and a guy sitting at a stop sign on a side road just pulls out right in front of me as I’m going 50 mph and does it at about 5mph. Happens all the time nowadays.

Since you have so many clocks, do you manually change most of them twice a year? That would be quite the job!
I do. I arm myself with a an accurate digital clock and a glass of wine. I do the cars that are manual. When I get home later this week, I will take some pics.

That for me is a New Year’s Day event. I have been replacing my 27 year old hard wired smoke detectors to newer plug and play models that allow you to change the battery from the front of the device without having to remove it from the bracket. I have 3 smoke detectors and one temp detector (garage) connected to my hard wired alarm system. No batteries there but I added a no maintenance deep cycle battery to the system that can last days without AC power. I do have an automatic 20KW Cummins generator to power up the house as well.

I don’t think the time change mattered. People around here have been driving crazy before the time change,

Well, jet lag also induces time zone change fatigue like you read about. In a 12 day international trip you can lose 2-3 nights sleep. By the time you find your airport beater car and drive home at midnight, you may have been up 24 hours already. Without any alcohol, you are impaired as it is.

One of the those nights, as I was a somewhat catatonic person driving in the middle lane of the empty freeway, with cruise control engaged, I saw something dead ahead in my lane. It kinda looked like a red plastic gas can. I got closer. Yep, looks like that. BOOM! I hit the thing straight on! You would have thought I could have simply driven around the thing to avoid it but my brain was not working as advertised. Oh my.
