Skip, Fall Colors 07 was a trip we almost didn't make as we had already spent $ on other meets and vacations that year.
But we decided life was too short, threw caution to the wind, drove to VA for the second time that year, and we had a blast.....
BTW, I didn't read the title of this thread...FC 2010????
Well, now, you never know....maybe if the planets line up correctly, we would be interested.

All, this is an interest thread. I posted here first, because, well, the younger kids usually cannot do nicer things. The area is great, and I really like that there are so many things that can fill time. I'm sure most of you are aware of the matter that's been brought to light with regards to the Dragon events. "Organizing" drives will not be part of my planning, but I will say that there are some really nice roads begging to be navigated.

I salute the effort, but I am tired of the drive to western Pa.

Skip.
For me, coming to the east, for any meet, it's really about the people, and not what there is to fill time with. (I don't want to pay for the amenities I don't need.) I just want a decent room at night to sleep, the Vintage crowd and pre-vints who like us ol' farts, and a gathering place of some kind with a few drinky-poo options. (I want everyone to be staying in the same place as it makes it so much easier to just walk downstairs and bump into your friends without having to drive there.) Having a pool is fun for some, and bowling is fun for some, but having a luxurious room and lots of other options doesn't matter to me. I just want to hang out with friends. The hotel for Fall Colors 2007 had a great area for that. People could buy drinks, bring drinks, or not drink, but there was a comfortable place to gather. Of course there will be a drive and a dinner for everyone.
Here I am when I just show up and don't help.

I couldn't afford to stay in the parking lot. What a rip off IMHO. Hawaii is cheaper.
