Lots of great ones on here already. I really like the Supertramp one as well. Listened to that whole album recently. This was one of my favorites growing up and still is:

As someone who grew up in the eighties, I actually preferred the music of the late sixties and seventies. 'Paranoid' was ahead of its time as far as heavy music was concerned and this cover matched the sound. A mysterious, eccentric figure lost in the woods and terrified, perhaps an AWOL soldier from Vietnam after using drugs as mentioned in "Hand of Doom".

I'll bet I've spent weeks gazing at the second one

[QUOTE=Kyras;24485069]^I remember it but wasn't a fan. I had a lot of The Cars though.

[QUOTE]

back in my hifi days I used to see Ric Ocasek fairly regularly.
He had a rather nice house, very discrete from the street but massive insigde.

"Country Life" by Roxy. I managed to snag it when in first came out (1974) at college but it was soon replaced with a picture of the hedge; too controversial.

Loved the Cars album cover. And Vargas art is the ultimate in pinup. Let the good times roll.

I almost added Cheap Thrills because, well...Robert Crumb...and my avatar.

Dark Side...ABSOLUTELY the most iconic cover ever.

Hendrix did have some great covers. I especially like Are You Experienced.

I haven't seen a Cream album cover in a VERY long time. Sunshine of Your Love was definitely a Strange Brew.

Patty, I envy your Supertramp experience. Really tight band. I thought they probably put on a pretty good show. Very much like Yes but not quite as weird.

Noodels, if I'd known we were going there, I would have added the cover for Blind Faith...the import one. Not because it's erotic...really it isn't unless you are 13. But it is very cool.

I'm a little surprised the cover to Wish You Were Here hasn't come up yet. Ditto any Santana cover.

In Search Of... was the cover I stared at for hours on end (while listening to the album, of course.)

No Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers? The Stones were always so subtle.
