Feeding the Birds

Funny you mention it. I'm sitting outside listening to my new fountain and there's thistle seed on my deck. I'm my case, I don't think I have any birds that like it so that's what they kick out of my bird feeder. My sister gave me a thistle sock at Christmas and nobody ever got on it. What kind of birds do you have that eat the thistle, Lainey?

Mainly Finches (gold, house, and purple) and Dumb Doves at our separate thistle feeders.
We saw two Orioles at the hummingbird feeder today, so we put out some oranges but as yet we've not seen them again.
Cool looking bird bath!

At one point we had six male goldfinches on the two thistle bags this evening. Sometimes I'll have five or six on/around of the bags.
This was date night at the feeder.

I finally purchased a hummingbird feeder, and it has now been discovered. Tonight I was BBQing and a hummer was sitting on the feeder watching me. He flew up 5 feet out and 5 feet over my head and looked at me for maybe 20 seconds before taking off. I swear I heard him say "Thank you". They are sooo cool.
