Default FRUIT?

I'm not much for fruit eating. I was wondering about what kinds of fruit my fellow Vintagers like.

Hard Choice. I eat just about everything you listed, except apples. When I go through the produce section I do not have a specific item in mind. I look for whatever is ripe. It is hard to find ripe anything. Everything is picked green, I guess to extend the shelf life.

Two things that I will buy whenever I see them are Seckel Pears and Kumquats.

It was hard to choose. I love fruits in general and eat a lot of fruit. My favorite is probably peaches, but we eat a lot of strawberries, blueberries, melon, pears, etc. I often put apple bits in salads and we eat sliced apples on turkey sandwiches or peanut butter sandwiches.

I couldn't pick one. I like too many fruits to have a fave. We eat alot of fruit, and I eat alot at work from the cafeteria - berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries), cherries, pineapple, mango, papaya, nectarines, pears, apricots, grapes, bananas, watermelon, canteloupe, etc, etc. Yum!!

I like almost all fruits. I love blueberries but can't afford them usually. I try to buy and eat alot of cheaper stuff like bananas, apples and grapes.

Apples. I have a severe allergy to peaches, cherries, or any fruit with a pit. Last time I ate a peach I was in the hospital for three days.

I know what you mean on the cost of blueberries, however, I hit the motherlode on blueberries over this entire summer and was able to buy two pints for $5.99. They're pretty much gone in nanoseconds since I love to make homemade blueberry syrup to put on custards, puddings, etc. Its quite easy to make and totally jazzes up simple pudding-type desserts. It is amaaaaaazing on rice pudding!

I hate fruit. It is so inconsistant. Today, the ripe red strawberry is juicy and sweet. Next week, one that looks just like the sweet juicy one is dry and bitter. Melons taste sweet as candy one day and like tofu the next. This peach has tender meat and this one is dry and tough. I have too many surprises in my life as it is. I don't need fruit complicating things.
