Default GE Profile Kitchen???

I'm thinking about getting an entire kitchen of GE Profile appliances. Side by side fridge, electric convection range, Advantium microwave and dishwasher. All stainless steel. Tool price on sale, $6,050 installed.

Change my mind.

The most important item is an ice maker. As long as that comes with it you should be good.

I say too many gadgets and likely computer boards on those fancy appliances. Too much stuff can break and be expensive to fix. Does that help?

Buy more fishing rods instead..........or another boat. Barbara will love that.

You don’t need that...your water is already hard as rock...on the rocks...

Our last house we built had all GE Profile appliances. Had issues with refrigerator, then the oven. This home when we remodeled, we went with KitchenAid. I think they look better and have not had a problem, except for refrigerator. It kept leaking water as the overflow would get clogged. Had them out half dozen times, finally they gave us a brand new one, and have not had an issue with it since. I would do it again.

We had GE in our last house for over 12 years. Only issue was a minor ice maker problem and that was it. Our new home has GE. It is only 3 years old so no issues to report. The stainless is much easier to clean compared to the stainless in our last home. It looks shinier and not as dull as the previous stainless. When my wife cleans it she uses Bar Keepers friend. Go for it Bill.

Like others have said stainless is a pain in the but to keep clean, but if you like that look and are willing to spend the time cleaning it or have someone to clean it for you then why not. Personally my house is a mix of appliances and fixtures that range from a few years old to 20 plus years old and I have had more problems with the newer stuff. Not a fan of ice makers I have seen a lot of cases where they have leaked and done significant damage before people realised the line was leaking.
What did you mean in your post when you said tool price on sale?

Bill, if I were I to consider replacing our stainless appliances, (which are now 20 years old and all still look great and perform wonderfully), I would definitely consider black stainless. Your mileage may vary.
