Here too!

There are some who live in my area who go further north to seek more snow and winter activities. I have never been one to seek more winter or more snow.

We've made several warm weather trips, in the past. We'd escape once a year to Florida or the Caribbean, just for a week. Generally, we'd wait until late March or early April to travel when, hopefully, most of the storms had passed. It was easier getting through the winter with a "fun warm vacation" to look forward to, AND, if we waited until March to travel, it lessened the odds of spending some of our vacation in an airport which was closed due to snow storms. A later trip also meant spring would be just around the corner when we got home.

We haven't done that kind of vacation in quite a while...we're due. Winter lasts longer every year, it seems.

Spring Fling will be so great for us all! I'm not waiting for winter to be over but I am waiting for a calmer life to begin, and just days away now. I will be ready to Par Tay.

But not too much, is it Valentine? We used to get about 3" in Acton every winter but really haven't in about 4 years. I'll miss that here but I guess I'll get used to the warmer winters in TC.
We haven't had any real snows for several years (ever since Jim bought the snow blower). We DO get ice storms here and there and about 12 years ago had several blizzards that dumped 50+ inches of snow on us within 3 or 4 days. It was ghastly and we had power outages that lasted for more than week, etc. Our city is protected on 3 sides by the mountains so most of the state gets more snow than we do except for the shoreline that rarely gets more than a dusting. As I've gotten older, I just hate the cold temperatures. I can tolerate it if its above 35 or 40, but any colder than that is just unbearable for me.

Jonas,

I did the South Florida thing at the beginning of the month. What a great way to recharge the old battery, plus it breaks up the long winter.

Have fun.

Let me know when you get to the Orlando area, maybe I can work something out and meet up. Vic
It would be great to meet up, but our schedule is pretty tight - we arrive Friday evening, and we head straight to Naples. It's about 4 hours drive, so we don't have time to hang around. On our way back, we arrive at Disney maybe around 6pm Tuesday, where we have to check in to get our Dining cards for dinner that evening. We're pretty booked until Sunday morning when we take Disney transportation to the airport. We have reservations for each evening, and each day is spent at the parks.

Wanna join us sometime in Naples (Sat - Monday)?

Have a great trip Jonas....when you come back, maybe make some time for some of us cold and freezing folk up here and maybe grab lunch or dinner.

I still work off of Alpha, but I live in Macedonia now.. almost in Carmen's old backyard actually

<---it's dumping snow like there is no tomorrow tonight

You guys often meet Thursday nights or Sun mornings - neither of which is ever open for me.

I usually work from home or at the office in Valleyview (just down the street from Quaker Steak). When I do drive the freeway past that parking lot off of Alpha, I always look for your car. What should I be looking for these winter days?
