Yesterday was a hard day! We were to meet with the oncologist but before we left the house they called and wanted Patty in earlier for a MRI of her liver. During the CT scan two weeks ago they found several spots on the liver and one on the lung. After the MRI we finally met the oncologist and she gave the bad news. At least one of the spots on the liver looks like cancer and they also found a spot on the spine. This completely changed the next steps as now Patty is considered Stage 4 and cure is very unlikely. She started on iBrance, a kind on chemo, and has to go for a liver CT needle biopsy tomorrow. The outcome doesn't look great but who knows.
