STILL haven't figured out all of the bells and whistles, but that's my fault....not anything related to the ASUS T-100 per se. In fact, I saw last week that STAPLES was featuring the T-100 but at a price of $450....WITHOUT the copy of OFFICE (I paid 350 incl OFFICE)
I'm very glad it has worked out well for you. It surely was a great deal. Still wish I had gotten one for myself.

As mentioned in other thread, I picked up a lap top for the granddaughter. I set it up last night, and surprisingly did not hate Windows 8.1 as much as I thought I would. The HP I got her was $299.00. Clearance priced. I liked the keyboard, I found it more than fast enough, and the resolution on the screen was really nice.

If it weren't so big, I'd buy one for myself. I would like something smaller to goof off with at night which would replace the net book. Not spending the Apple $ yet. I know most folks have ditched the lap tops, we don't travel that often, so something larger than an ipad would still work. I sometimes work with my pics when we are away, the net book is painfully slow for that.

I've noted Jerry's comments on his new purchase, that could work, or maybe something smaller (than the 15") lap top. Open to suggestions.

The +1 just bought the Lenovo Yoga 2 (11"). It is very . It has a keyboard and looks like a thin laptop, but the screen flips over completely to serve as a tablet with touch capability. I had not seen anything about it, but the sales guy said it was the way to go for the same price he was going to spend on a Dell.

I've seen those, Deb. They are pretty darn cool..........I think they are more $ than I want to spend though.

Edit: I'm always a bit behind in the technology gadgets........laptops are out, and I might get one.

Ok, I have a "help" need. I'm on a MacBook Air and the Mail system is preventing me from shutting down the computer. My Catch-22 is that Mail won't allow me to type in a password or shut it down. When I press the power button to shut it off, I get a message that Mail cancelled the shut down.

My Internet browser is still functional, and I can get my e-mail on my iPhone or iPad, but not the computer.

This should be an easy fix, but it's frustrating me. Help please.

I thought I would mention I downloaded OSX 10.10 Yosemite to the Mac and I really like it. No issues either.

Same here. This is my first day to check it out. My university information services department had recommended waiting until it is tested more, but WTH. I like it, too.

For those of us not using Macs ..........Windows 7 had those nice, somewhat helpful, often cute desktop gadgets. Windows 8.1 does not, though Google has told me where I can find some. I always hesitate to download the unknown. Can anyone here recommend a specific download, that is safe?

Thanks for the link, but I don't use a Mouse, so I have no right button. The one pad I use to move the curser is also my click button. It's only one button, not 2.
