Now I'm not complaining (Ok, yes I am) I'm as jealous as hell. Send some of that Cali weather this way (I am sooooo depressed)

My son lives at Portland! He absolutely loves it there - You pick your weather by alltitude. They even give the weather report by elevation! Beautiful blue sky in the summer - then 9 months of drizzil and rain.
Linesupper,

My thermometer says it's 79* out there in the . Nice today.

So, does your son like drizzle or is he above it?

Much warmer and dryer than last year, at least here, in Acton.
Last year you got our rain. This year we seem to be getting our rain plus some.

My guess is that you didn't get a ticket because the cop had no chance to pace you and check your speed, and he didn't have radar on you either. But if you had bad-mouthed him, he might have looked for something to write you up on. (do you have a front plate?)
I have gotten out of more than one ticket by being polite. Never hurts to kiss up.....

No front plate, but he didn't walk around to in front of my car. The little things might help. I kept my hands on the steering wheel where he could see them. When he asked me for my license, registration, and proof of insurance, I told him I needed to take the keys out of the ignition and unlock the locker between the seats first. Then I turned on the interior light.

Good idea with the hands. I also do that, plus leave my seatbelt on till they see it. What other job is there that when you walk up to a "customer" you might get shot in the face for nothing? Thankfully, I haven't had to worry about it since the last time, 1999. (knocks on wood)
