Ken,

You got an amazingly low price for the Nuvi 660. When I bought mine in late December, I paid $755 from Amazon. I had an Amazon gift certificate for $75 which lowered the price somewhat, but still.. the price drops for GPS units are amazing.

We love the 660. I did put music files on the SD card just to try out the feature, but prefer the iPod.

On our trips to Louisville, Williamsburg VA, and Charlottesville this year, the 660 performed like a champ.

660 Prices have dropped because they have now released the 680 which has MSN connectivity.

Specific Questions for anyone with experience.....

My main reason for getting a nav unit is for the real time traffic updates because pittsburgh is ridiculous!!!

The nuvi 660 relies on fm traffic streams where as the 680 and other units, such as the streetpilot c580, rely on msn direct.

Msn direct has some very cool features (movie listings) but is limited to generous metrop. areas. If i was driving across the state of pa i would lose traffic updates in the middle of the state.

Can you guys and gals give me some real world experience on these two types?

Do you know that XM radio has a channel for Pittsburgh traffic?

bluerooster,

I wandered away from the safe zone of the "allegheny" s2 club and left myself wide open for that.

Well played!

the brownies have made some interesting moves - are you feeling confident, are ya?

They had a great draft..we'll see. I think if they don't make the playoffs, Crennel is done.

Wonder if Cowher will want to go to work again in 2008???
