My sister stayed in rehab for her second knee replacement but not her first. The second recovery went MUCH better. I'm glad Barbara is going that route.
We are very happy we went that route, Patty. She has already had a couple of complications with her recovery. If she had come home after surgery we would have been driving back to the hospital at least twice by now. Rehab has a doctor, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapy, physical therapy and food service. Home has me!! I would have lost my mind.
Hang in there Bill. Just be positive and keep pushing her to give her best effort. What she does in the now plays a huge roll in how things come out months later when it is all said done.
