Default Hey Val ...

How's the water level up your way? I hope y'all are able to stay dry in all this. HPH

I was really surprised yesterday at the levels in the marsh. . . no different from the norm. HOWEVER, there is some minor flooding in the area and our lawn and entire street are filled with debris. The winds were realllllly huffing and there are leaves, small broken branches, etc. everywhere. Some of the shopping center parking lots are now small ponds.

Glad it was not worse...we got hammered with rain - looks like 4-8 inches in the immediate area, with 10-12 near the Bay. I think all three airports set records yesterday.

Good to hear -- reports from coastal NC made it sound like you might need an ark. But it seems to have helped with the drought conditions in several places, so there's some silver lining. HPH

Sorry...OT...Val, do you want a doggie to keep BB company? Here's a cute one in SC that needs a home.

Glad you didn't need the ark, Val.

We had rain predicted this AM and woke up to sunny skies.

Most of the wet weather is to the west of us. Our predictions call for maybe an inch with some areas getting a bit more, nothing like what the folks to the south of us have dealt with.

I'm hoping it moves out quickly as we are hitting the road for the Fall Crawl after lunch. Since my little off road incident in the S in the rain, I'm not as comfortable being on the road in lousy weather in the S.

I feel very badly for Vyk who is driving in this mess, and Jay/Golden Eagle was "setting sail" to join us last night as well.

Weather for tomorrow's drive is sunny and 50 degrees! It will be fun!

Awww, what a little cutie!!! BUT . . . no. BB is all we can handle.

Back on topic: We didn't need an ark, but apparently our former hometown was inundated and got 7.5 inches of rain overnight! Streets were closed, sewers overflowed, etc. Big mess.

We had rain beginning Sunday and ending last night.
I went for a top down today to rid myself of cabin fever.

Minor flooding here but the coastal areas,Wilmington,New Bern got hit hard.

Apparently water ran over the gutterguards and caused some minor problems. The tenants are moving in this weekend, so we sent our maintenance guy out to check things out. So far, so good . . . only minor probs. The maintenance guy said that folks all over the area had flooded basements. Fortunately we did not.
